One Year

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot.”
--Michael Althsuler.

I believe for most, if not all of us, that the MSSA has etched many unforgettable moments which defined our past year in Bristol. As a note of appreciation, the Committee would like to make special thanks to the University of Bristol Alumni Foundation for generously supporting these memorable events:

Welcome Tea at the Flutes -
gathering on a sunny afternoon in Singapore where seniors prepped the Freshers for the upcoming year in Brizzle!

Freshers Fair –
where we all got out membership cards and t-shirts

Hari Raya Dinner –
the first event organised by the 07/08 Committee: food; friends & fun!

Asian Society Halloween Party –
a collaboration with other Asian societies to celebrate Halloween

Nottingham Games –
GOLD to our football squad!

Lush –
a joint social event with other Asian societies

Bath Christmas Market Trip –
hopping on the train for a half hour ride to Bath was certainly worthwhile: who wasn’t mesmerised by the pretty lights and what all the stalls had to offer?

The Oriental Festival –
where several Asian cultural societies gathered for a night of food & fascinating performances: remember the Prata?

and of course…

Budaya II (Malaysian-Singaporean Night) –
our annual flagship event: how can anyone forget? Captivating cultural performances complemented with a sumptuous dinner which certainly showcased the Malaysian and Singaporean heritage

The Alumni's long-standing support has indubitably been pivotal to the success of the multitude of events held by the MSSA; and in particular, the Malaysian-Singaporean Night. We are truly grateful and look forward to another year of cooperation with the Alumni Foundation.
